The Origin
Cubism broke with the idea that a subject must be represented from one fixed viewpoint. By fragmenting forms and reorganising space, it opened a new visual language for seeing reality.

A New Perspective
Multiple viewpoints, geometric construction and shifting planes allow figures and places to be rebuilt rather than simply depicted. Rhythm replaces a single horizon; space becomes active.
