AMONG THE VINES

The table was set before the sun began to fall.

Between the vines, glasses are poured and plates are passed — cheese, charcuterie, fruit and bread shared as the last light moves across the Provençal hills.

Conversations stretch longer.

Nobody is in a hurry to leave.

Beyond the table, rows of vines disappear into the landscape as the evening slowly takes over.

Somewhere between the first glass and the last light, the apéritif becomes the evening.
